The 'Lightning' singer was all smiles after his latest doctor's appointment out in Los Angeles.

The Wanted's Nathan Sykes has confirmed he is "on the road" to recovery after his emergency throat surgery last week.

The 'Chasing The Sun' singer was pictured leaving a doctor's surgery on Tuesday (23rd April) after having his first check-up since undergoing an operation to repair a haemorrhaging vocal cord last week.

Nathan was joined out in Los Angeles by his parents and sister Jessica, who flew over from the UK to look after him during his recovery, and the 'Glad You Came' singer was all smiles while heading out in the city.

"On the road to recovery, it's a bloody long one, but at least I'm on the road! :P!" Nathan tweeted yesterday (24th April).

"Nathan had surgery as planned last week and is now starting on the road towards recovery," a spokesperson for the UK sat revealed in a statement this week. "We won't know how successful the procedure was until he heals over the coming months."

Nathan's bandmates in The Wanted made their first public appearance without their 20 year-old fifth member this week for a performance in New York City, and have now returned to the UK.
