The 'Wild Heart' band also tease their brand new studio album.

The Vamps have opened up on being compared to One Direction, and say they feel they're a completely different sort of band.

The 'Last Night' four-piece, who scored a top three hit this past Sunday on the Vodafone Big Top 40 with their latest single, say they hope fans can appreciate their songwriting talents when their new album launches next week.

"I just want people to listen to it and appreciate we're songwriters," James McVey revealed to The Metro this week. "Being compared to One Direction is no bad thing but we are a completely different band."

"We do like to play jokes on each other but we're just not really a "laddy" band," Tristan Evans also explained, when asked what the boy are like out on the road.
