The 'What About Us' singer has apologised to fans after being bedridden with a "nasty bug" this week.

The Saturdays were forced to soldier on without bandmate Mollie King yesterday at a fan signing event to promote their upcoming 2013 calendar.

The 'All Fired Up' girl band returned to the UK last week after over a month in Los Angeles working on their TV pilot for US network E!, and arrived in Birmingham on Tuesday (18th September) after confirming that Mollie wasn't able to attend because of illness.

"I'm SO sorry guys, but I'm really poorly and won't be able to make today's signing," Mollie tweeted yesterday. "I'll make it up to you, I promise! x.

"Thanks for ur msgs guys! I've been in bed since sunday with a really nasty bug (& no I don't mean Alfie), but I'm feeling much better today."

Despite Mollie's absence, her bandmates Rochelle Wiseman, Una Healy, Frankie Sandford and Vanessa White were all smiles while meeting and greeting their fans at a HMV signing event.

Frankie opted for bright yellow skinny jeans and a grey blazer for the outing while Vanessa went all black in jeans and a top.

'Notorious' singer Rochelle wore a black and green patterned dress while Una chose to attend in a red and black checked number.

After the event they posted: "Thank you Birmingham! We had SO much fun at today's @hmvtweets calendar signing!!! PS: thanks for all the cards & presses! x."

The Saturdays are expected to confirm new details about their recently announced single 'What About Us' in the coming weeks.
