The 'Red' singer says she is about to start laying down some brand new songs in the studio.
Taylor Swift has revealed she is planning to head back into the recording studio soon to begin work on a new album.
The 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' confirmed that things are about to get "really intense" as she starts to lay down some new songs ready for the follow-up to her 2012 album 'Red'.
The US star was speaking outside the MTV Video Music Awards 2013 this past weekend (25th August) in Brooklyn, where she picked up an award for Best Female Video for 'I Knew You Were Trouble.
After admitting she is "always" writing new songs Taylor revealed to MTV's Sway: "I think it's about to start to kick into full gear.
"I'm about to go into the studio," Taylor explained. "It's about to get really intense."

Taylor is currently touring North America on her 'Red' tour with best friend Ed Sheeran as her support act, but has been writing new music for much of 2013 so far.
The '22' singer courted controversy at the VMAs with her award acceptance speech, amid claims she had made a dig towards One Direction's Harry Styles.
