Taylor Swift Set To Guest Star On New Girl's Season Two Finale In May?

The 'Love Story' singer is said to be shooting scenes for her guest role on the show next week.

Taylor Swift has reportedly been cast as a guest star for the season finale of hit US comedy series New Girl.

According to EW, the 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' singer will take a short break from her 'Red' tour next week to shoot scenes for an upcoming episode of the FOX comedy.

Taylor is expected to portray a character called Elaine on the show and will share scenes with lead character Jess, portrayed on New Girl by US actress Zooey Deschanel.

While nothing has been confirmed or revealed about Taylor's character as yet, it's rumoured that she will be an "important" guest at the wedding of CeCe and Shivrang for the second season's final episode.

Her upcoming appearance on New Girl won't be '22' singer Taylor's first foray into acting, as she has already enjoyed roles in Hollywood films like Valentine's Day and The Lorax.

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer has been travelling up and down the US for the past several weeks on her latest world tour, with recent rumours suggesting Taylor is planning a live DVD release following the tour's completion.

Taylor Swift's guest appearance on the season finale of New Girl is expected to air on 14th May.
