This is the true spirit of Christmas!
The fact that Stormzy and Idris Elba are pals makes us so happy, but the fact that they give so much back to the community makes us even happier!
Looking to spread some Christmas joy, the duo teamed up and visited staff and children at hospitals in East London to give them an early Christmas gift to remember.
The pair posed for pics with patients and staff and Idris spoke to the Newham Recorder about the reason for the visit.
Idris explained, "I always wanted to give back in this way, to children’s hospitals. With a 15-year-old daughter and three-year-old son myself, I can only imagine the anguish and maybe even fear these children and their parents are experiencing."
"This visit was just a moment for me to hopefully bring a smile to the children who are unwell, in hospital and away from the comfort of their homes during the Christmas period."
Whipps Cross Hospital and Newham Hospital were the destination for the Secret Santas and they rerally did put smiles on so many faces.
20 month old Derek Duncan was one of the youngsters who got to meet the stars and his dad said, “What a surprise! Great to see two mega stars taking time out to dress up as Santa and bringing gifts for our son – a treasured memory. Thank you Newham Hospital.”
What a start to the festive season.
Whilst you're here, remind yourself of Stormzy's hilarious story about how he got stuck in the toilet recently...
