We've already heard the brilliant lead single 'Good For You', but what else has Selena Gomez got in store for her upcoming album? Find out here…
Selena described her comeback as a "rebirth" and will be showcasing a whole new side of herself on the record. She said, “I’m very confident in this record and you can hear it. But I’m vulnerable, I’m real, and I think it just shows a different side of me, and I’m really excited, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders."
It's a well known fact Selena Gomez is part of the coolest girl gang pretty much ever, so will we be hearing a duet with the likes of Ellie, Taylor or even Haim on the record? We'll have to wait and see… Picture: Instagram
Ms Gomez chose Mexico to record part of her album in, and we have NO IDEA why judging by this sun soaked photo… There's bound to be a summery feel to part of the record - spending time in the sunshine is bound to have rubbed off.
The rumoured couple collaborated on the brilliant 'I Want You To Know', but could there be another joint track in the works for Selena's album too? We loved her dance edge - has she brought any of that back into her own record?Picture: Instagram
Selena said, “’Good For You’ is actually one of the first songs I recorded for the record. It was stunning — it was a piece that was just everything I feel a woman should embody, but not in the obvious way. I vibed with it. The track only took about 45 minutes because I just did it all the way through. I didn’t want to stop in between. I wanted to feel the whole song as a whole, and they were there, and it was just a beautiful start to the album.”
They've been on and off more than we can count so it's no surprise Selena was inspired by their relationship. She said, “I think there’s hints of it, but I think what I was really excited about was the title of the album [and] the rebirth of Selena. It’s just beautiful. It’s my chance to just feel like an independent artist and I worked really hard on it. So I guess that’s just the vision. It’s all about my journey. It’s not about anything specific."
Queen Bey sampled Blue Ivy's vocals on a track, so could Selena be doing something similar with her little sister? She tweeted a photo of some serious big sister time when her baby sis came to visit her in the studio captioned "The Future", so we wouldn't rule it out! Picture: Instagram
Yep, Tay Tay's break up ballads are catching, and Selena is the latest to get on the trend. A source said, "Selena’s written a lot more songs based on her personal experiences and heartbreaks. It was Taylor that she drew inspiration from in that sense, who told her that’s something she should really focus on because it’s what people, especially young female fans, can relate to."
