The 'Money On My Mind' star speaks to Capital about joining the US star on her recent 'Red' show in London.

Sam Smith has been speaking to Capital this week and was full of praise for 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer Taylor Swift.

The pair were seen joining forces on stage this month when they performed Sam's Vodafone Big Top 40 number one song 'Money On My Mind' live at the O2 Arena in London.

It was the second night of Taylor's UK arena tour and Sam told us he was surprised how familiar she was with his work.

"She's so sweet and she was so welcoming. I was just shocked that she knew my song," he declared.

"I went to soundtrack and she met me and we practiced and it was insane and afterwards I went to her dressing room and she let me come in on the little huddle she does before her show. She was really sweet."

Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Danny O'Donoghue and Emeli Sande were also guest performers at different London shows.

Meanwhile, Sam will be heading to the BRIT Awards 2014 tonight (19th February) hoping to add to his Critics' Choice prize as his collaboration with Naughty Boy, 'La La La' is up for Best British Single.
