The 'Stay' singer's dad says the R&B singer made a "terrible mistake" that he has forgiven him for.
Rihanna's father says he has forgiven Chris Brown for the couple's violent break-up in 2009 and believes that "everybody deserves a second chance".
The 'We Found Love' singer's dad Ronald Fenty says he has given the couple his blessing for their reconciliation, following their split three years ago after Chris' assault conviction.
"Chris made a mistake, a terrible one," Ronald told the Sunday Mirror. "But I'm a great believer that everybody deserves a second chance and Chris is no different.
"Everybody goes wrong at some point, I certainly have," the 24 year-old singer's father explained. "But it is how you come back and live your life which is important.
"And as long as she is happy then so am I. Everybody has had their say about her and Chris but it is up to her to find her own way.
"Chris has always been polite and kind to me and treated me with respect," he added. "That's all you can ask from your daughter's boyfriend."

'Turn Up The Music' singer Chris and 'Diamonds' star Rihanna have been more open about their rekindled romance in 2013, openly attending the Grammy Awards 2013 together earlier this month and being pictured cuddling on several occasions.
Over the weekend Rihanna launched her debut fashion collection for River Island at London Fashion Week, which is due to officially launch in stores from 5th March.
Rihanna has also been linked to a potential headline spot at this year's Glastonbury Festival 2013.
