Rihanna On 'Battleship' Film Role: "I Loved Every Moment"

The 'We Found Love' star says she loved the freedom of starring in the upcoming sci-fi film.

Rihanna says she "thoroughly enjoyed" starring in the upcoming sci-fi Battleship and loved not having to worry about her appearance while on the film set.

The 'You Da One' singer stars as weapons specialist Petty Officer Raikes in the Peter Berg-directed film, and also admits she enjoyed getting operate heavy artillery as part of her character's role.

"I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really did," Rihanna told The Sun, when asked about her time on the set. "It felt good not to think about what to wear. Every day was the exact same thing. It was really comfortable."

"It was so much fun. I loved it, every moment," the 'We Found Love' singer added.

The film sees Rihanna join an ensemble cast also featuring Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgård, Taylor Kitsch and Brooklyn Decker.

It was also revealed earlier today (28th February) that Rihanna is keen for a comedy film to be her next Hollywood project. 

Battleship is expected to launch in cinemas on 18th May.
