The K-Pop star has become the first person to hit the milestone on the file sharing website.
PSY has today (21st December) reached one billion views on YouTube with his smash hit single 'Gangnam Style'.
The track became a viral sensation in 2012 breaking world records and eventually becoming the most watched video in YouTube history in - just over five months.
PSY won Best Video at the MTV Video Music Awards 2012 and is also up for the People's Choice Award in 2013 for Favourite Music Video.
The name of the track has also today been announced as one of the words of the year by Collins Dictionary who named it in their shortlist for 2012.
The singer has also recently been teasing details for the follow up track, hinting to Capital FM that it could feature teen sensation Justin Bieber.
