#Directioners that didn’t manage to get tickets to the sold out ‘Where We Are’ tour will now be able to get the (almost) full experience as the boys turn it into a cinema release.
The film will be executively produced by Simon Cowell and will be released in more than 70 countries on 11th and 12th October, for one weekend only across 3000 screens worldwide.
"We could have happily stopped at arenas. To play arenas and do a worldwide tour would have been amazing," the boys explain, in an interview to promote the new film. "For us to be playing stadiums is the biggest thing in the world.
"I feel like we've blagged it again!' Louis Tomlinson adds. "You look at the bands who play stadiums and you almost feel like we don't deserve it!"
The footage was filmed on 28th and 29th June in Milan on the Italian leg of the stadium tour at the iconic San Siro stadium, and was made by the same production team behind ‘This Is Us’.
Fans will also get a never-before-seen interview with the boys about life on the road and footage captured by Ben Winston, the genius behind the ‘You And I’ music video.
