One Direction Mobbed By Fans As They Land Back In US For Today Show Appearance

The 'Little Things' singers were greeted by hundreds of fans outside the airport in New Jersey.

One Direction were mobbed at Newark Airport on Thursday evening (22nd August) after being greeted by an army of fans after their US return.

The 'Best Song Ever' five-piece flew back to the United States yesterday just two days after the world premiere of their 3D concert movie This Is US, and had a legion of screaming fans waited for them on their arrival.

Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson were pictured heading through the airport in New Jersey on Thursday evening, ready for a big performance on The Today Show this morning (23rd August).

"Back in NYC! Can't wait t do today show in the morning for the third time!" Niall tweeted fresh from the band's arrival. "Thanks for having us back! It's been a huge week! Sleepy time."

Earlier this week Zayn Malik and Little Mix star Perrie Edwards were widely reported to have gotten engaged last week, with Capital FM presenting the boy band star with a bunch of flowers to celebrate.
