The 'What Makes You Beautiful' singers have tweeted their appreciation for fan support of their new single and album.

One Direction have thanked fans for supporting the group’s debut album ‘Up All Night’, which was released both in stores and for download earlier today (21st November).

The X Factor boy band scored a second top ten hit last week when their new single ‘Gotta Be You’ charted at number eight on the The Vodafone Big Top Forty.

“Thanks soo much to everyone who bought the album! Killing it!” band member Niall Horan wrote on Twitter earlier today.

Liam Payne also tweeted his appreciation for the success of ‘Gotta Be You’, despite lamenting the band missing out on scoring a second number one single.

“Sad we didn’t get number one today xx massive thanks to everyone who bought the single tho you guys are amazing."

Last week Louis Tomlinson revealed his favourite track from ‘Up All Night’ is the Ed Sheeran-penned ‘Moments’.

One Direction’s debut album ‘Up All Night’, including the singles ‘Gotta Be You’ and ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, is available now.
