One Direction Teen Choice Awards 2012: Band Record Hilarious Acceptance Speech – Video

The 'What Makes Your Beautiful' band were introduced by chef Gordon Ramsay and Justin Kirk.

One Direction recorded a hilarious video acceptance speech after scooping three prizes at the Teen Choice Awards 2012 last night (22nd July).

The 'One Thing' stars were unable to attend the event in Los Angeles this weekend and sent a recorded message to the ceremony.

The boy band won Choice Summer Music Star Group, Choice Music Breakout Group and Choice Love Song for their debut single 'What Makes You Beautiful'.

Singer Louis Tomlinson starts the short clip with a thank you message for their wins on the night and recalls a story about the band putting together their surf board award.

A montage clip plays showing the band showing off their best DIY skills as they reconstruct the award.

Harry gets measured during a nap, Niall's face is covered in string and "miles and miles" of tape is used in the video.

The clip was introduced by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and actor James Kirk who had a monkey on his shoulder.

Other big winners on the night included Justin Bieber and the movie The Hunger Games.

Meanwhile, One Direction are currently working on their new studio album and recently hit the studio with McFly.
