One Direction are set to hit travel the world in style when they kick off their 'Take Me Home' world tour next month after it was revealed the five-piece will have a £3 million luxury private jet to escort them on their jaunt.

The 'Live While We're Young' stars will be able to avoid long queues at the airport as they travel from venue to venue, according to the Daily Mirror who say the jet has been dubbed 'Air Force One Direction'.

The new tour will kick off in the UK next month as the boys take to the stage at London's O2 Arena on 23rd February.

They have also hired Michael Jackson's former bodyguard for the jaunt and headlined a sold-out show at New York's Madison Square Garden at the end of 2012.

The boys were also among the star performers at the Jingle Bell Ball at the beginning of December.

One Direction are also currently filming scenes for their 3D concert movie, released in August, which is being directed by Super Size Me's Morgan Spurlock.

Meanwhile, band member Harry Styles was seen in the US on New Year's Eve sharing a kiss with girlfriend Taylor Swift at midnight.
