The 'One Thing' singer reveals it's more exciting when a girl turns him down the first time he asks her out.

One Direction star Harry Styles says he likes women who play hard to get, but claims he isn't cool enough to be a good flirt when chatting to girls.

The 'Gotta Be You' star, who has been linked to several women over the past year including Caroline Flack and Cara Delevingne, says he thinks it's more attractive when people don't say yes to a date or chat up line at first.

"The fun part is the chase, so if you speak to me, play a bit hard to get," Harry revealed in the latest issue of Top Of The Pops magazine. "I think it's attractive when someone turns you down.

"You don't want someone to say yes straight away, do you?" Harry explained.

The 'One Thing' singer also claims that, despite his millions of adoring One Direction fans around the world, he isn't always cool enough to be good at talking to and flirting with the girls he meets.

"I think you have to be cool to be a good flirt - and I don't think I'm very cool," Harry added.
