The 'What Makes You Beautiful' singers have picked up the Best Single award for their debut record.
One Direction have won the Best British Single at tonight's BRIT Awards 2012 for their debut single 'What Makes You Beautiful'.
The 'Gotta Be You' singers were nominated alongside a host of other artista, including Olly Murs, Jessie J and The Wanted, in the prestigious category, voted for by Capital FM listeners.
"We cannot believe that we are stood here on this stage," One Direction's Louis Tomlinson said, while accepting the award from Tinie Tempah. "This award is for the fans. We would be absolutely nowhere without them so thank you very much."
"To be on this stage is amazing. We're massively flattered," Liam Payne also said.
'One Thing' singer Niall Horan also gave special thanks to the band's fans, as the five-piece group departed the O2 Arena stage with their award.
He added: "Thanks to everyone who voted for us. This one's for you."
