The 'Fly' rapper and the 'Firework' singer are the latest names linked to a position on the music reality series.
Nicki Minaj, Will.i.am and Katy Perry are the latest names tipped for a judging role on the next series of American Idol.
After it was revealed Jennifer Lopez may not be returning for the next series of the show, reports quickly began circulating as to who could replace the singer on the music reality show.
Cheryl Cole received the nod of approval from Rihanna when the Girls Aloud star was linked with the position and Adam Lambert told Capital this week that he would "jump at the chance" when he addressed the rumours of himself returning to show which kick started his career.
However, E! Online reports that the 'Starships' singer alongside, Katy, Will, Fergie and Miley Cyrus are all in contention.
A source told the publication: "No one has signed any contracts yet and producers are currently putting out feelers and setting up meetings to see who they can get."
The current show line-up also features long-standing judge Randy Jackson and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.
