The 'We Can't Stop' star's much talked about appearance at last month's event apparently caused uproar with the editor-in-chief.
A planned Miley Cyrus photoshoot with Vogue US has apparently been pulled due to the singer's controversial performance at the MTV VMAs 2013.
The 'Party In The USA' singer apparently caused upset to the publication's editor in--chief Anna Wintour, who cancelled the shoot.
"Anna found the whole thing distasteful," a source told the Daily Mail. "She decided, based on Miley's performance, to take the cover in a different direction."
Miley was seen grinding up against Robin Thicke and making several rude gestures with a foam finger during her VMAs appearance.
Commenting on her performance, Miley told MTV recently that she wanted to "make history" with her show.
Stars such as Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga have since come to her defence.
Meanwhile, Miley is preparing to unveil the music video for her new song 'Wrecking Ball' – after posting a teaser shot to the promo last week.
