The 'Payphone' singers have also added to their tally of the most number ones by a group on the Pop Songs chart.

Maroon 5 have broken new records after their latest single 'Daylight' reached the top of the Billboard Pop Songs chart in America.

The 'Moves Like Jagger' band's latest release rises one place to the top spot this week, making them the first band since 1994 to achieve three number one songs on the chart from just one album.

The last band to achieve the feat was Ace Of Base with 'The Sign' back in 1994, while Maroon 5 also now hold the record for the most number ones by a group in the 20 year history of the chart.

Three of Maroon 5's singles from their 2012 album 'Overexposed' have now hit the top spot, including previous singles 'Pay Phone' and 'One More Night'.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is currently appearing on the latest series of The Voice US and are starting to work on their fifth studio album this year.
