The 'Hero' singer's husband says he and his wife will be attending the memorial service for the late 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' singer.
Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon have confirmed they are hoping to attend the funeral of Whitney Houston later today.
The 'I Will Always Love You' singer will be laid to rest in New Jersey later today (18th February) with a private family ceremony, although the memorial will be streamed over the internet for Whitney's fans.
'My All' singer Mariah and comedian Nick have said they have full intentions of travelling to the east coast for today's funeral, although Nick's America's Got Talent commitments may prevent him from attending.
"We're definitely trying to figure out the scheduling right now, because I have to be here, working," Nick told Access Hollywood last night in Los Angeles (17th February). "But you know, we were friends so we'll definitely be there in some capacity, whether it's me and my wife, or my wife.
"We'll definitely be there to support the family and you know, give the best memorial we could possibly give."
Earlier this week Nick Cannon announced he is stepping down from his New York radio show to focus on his health issues, after doctors discussed several blood clots on his lungs.
Whitney Houston's funeral will take place later today at the church she sang in as a child, and is expected to feature tribute performances from the singer's godmother Aretha Franklin as well as Stevie Wonder.
