The 'MDNA' singer says the 'Party Rock Anthem' duo crack her up and were "super easy" to work with.
Madonna has explained why she chose LMFAO and Cee Lo Green to join her on stage at the Super Bowl halftime show last weekend (5th February).
The 'Give Me All You Luvin' singer was joined on stage at the event by LMFAO for a performance of their two songs 'Party rock Anthem' and 'Sexy And I Know It' mashed up with her 2000 hit 'Music.
Madonna was also later joined by 'Forget You' singer Cee Lo for a medley performance which culminated with a duet of her 1989 single 'Like A Prayer'.
"Well I wanted to choose fun people," Madonna explained to Ryan Seacrest earlier today (10th February. "LMFAO. To me they're just pure joy.
"They crack me up, they have an incredible sense of humour and I was so happy when they agreed to do the show with me," the '4 Minutes' singer explained. "Their song and my song 'Music' are in the same key so it was easy enough to do that mash-up. They were super easy to work with.
"I love Cee Lo," Madonna added. "I've always loved his voice. So it was a dream come true for me."
The 'Hard Candy' star announced her new world tour earlier this week and tickets for her two UK performances went on sale earlier today.
Madonna is due to release her twelfth album 'MDNA' on 26th March.
