The 'Wings' singers speak to Capital ahead of their performance at London's O2 Arena today.

Little Mix have confessed that they are looking forward to meeting Cheryl Cole for the first time today (8th December) at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball.

The two acts are both on the line-up for day one of the event from London's O2 Arena and the former X Factor winners will be among many friends in the capital.

"Well, we know 1D, we've met Lawson, Rizzle Kicks. Cheryl Cole is next door to us," they said. "We haven't met Cheryl yet. I'm so excited."

The group will be performing as a three-piece when they take to the stage after Perrie Edwards has fallen ill due to an ongoing tonsil problem.

The remaining three members also revealed that they will be all sharing vocal duties on Perrie's parts of the track.

Cheryl will be making two appearances at this weekend's event as she performs a solo set today and joins her Girls Aloud bandmates tomorrow evening (9th December).

Day one of the event will be opened by JLS with US star Bruno Mars closing proceedings.

Pink, The Wanted and Conor Maynard will also be on the line-up for the second day of the event.
