The 'Learn To Love Again' band say it is "awesome" to have someone like the 'Love Story' singer behind them.

Lawson have said they are "massive fans" of Taylor Swift and would love to write some music with the US star at some point down the line.

The 'Taking Over Me' stars got to meet Taylor for the first time backstage at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball 2012 last year, where she complimented them on their music, and say it's great to have support from such a big worldwide artist.

"It's awesome! We're like massive fans of her music," Lawson's Adam Pitts told MTV News this week. "I was in London at the O2 [Arena], which is like one of the most iconic venues. So we were just buzzing, having come off stage there.

"She really liked our song 'Standing In The Dark'," singer Andy Brown revealed, saying the support from Taylor has been "great".

The 'When She Was Mine' four-piece went on to say that, having met and hung out with the 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' singer, they would love to get in the studio with her.

"We'd love to, absolutely love to if she's interested," Andy admitted. "Maybe do some writing together.

"We love her music though, that's the main thing."

Earlier this week the 'Learn To Love Again' band revealed they are keen to duet with a female singer at some point, naming both Taylor Swift or Katy Perry as potential collaborators.

Lawson returned from a short tour of the US at the end of last week and will launch their 'Chapman Square' UK tour in Manchester on 21st February.
