Lawson Promise "Special Surprises" For Summertime Ball 2013 And Talk Pre-Show Nerves - Video

The 'Brokenhearted' four-piece say it's still just as nerve-wracking second time around to be playing the Ball.

Lawson have promised some "special surprises" in their set for the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2013 this weekend, as well as offering up some advice for event newbies Union J.

The 'Taking Over Me' four-piece made their Summertime Ball debut in June 2012 with a performance of their debut single 'When She Was Mine', but will be performing a full set at this year's Wembley Stadium show and say the nerves are just as high this time around.

"No! We know how scary it is now!" drummer Adam Pitts told Capital FM, when asked if they are less nervous this year. "So we know we should be scared for good reason, there's a lot of people out there!

"And, we've done a lot of weird things in the set this time," guitarist Joel Peat teased. "We've got a lot of special surprises this year for our set."

When asked what advice they would give Summertime Ball first-timers Union J, the 'Standing In The Dark' stars said that it's difficult to prepare anyone for the "unbelievable feeling" of playing Wembley Stadium for this event.

"We've just seen them actually and I think they were a bit nervous," singer Andy Brown revealed. "I think Josh [Cuthbert] actually watched our set from the audience last year, because he said he was in the audience watching 'When She Was Mine'.

"I think they probably know the pressure that's going to be on them because you just have to look around and see the amount of people that are here," he explained. "You can't really give any advice because they're not really listening, because you're in your own world!

'It's an unbelievable feeling," Andy added.

Lawson are just one of the many huge acts playing the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2013 this year (9th June) including Taylor Swift, Robbie Williams, The Wanted, The Saturdays and Olly Murs.
