Lawson Announce New UK Tour To Visit Each Band Member's Home City

The 'Taking Over Me' stars will head off this autumn on their 'Hometowns Tour' across the country.

Lawson have announced dates for a brand new UK tour that will see them visiting the home cities of each member of the band.

The 'When She Was Mine' singers announced full details for 'The Hometowns Tour' at the start of tthise week, which is set to kick off this Autumn across the country.

Lawson will first travel to Liverpool, where singer Andy Brown is from, before moving on to Sheffield the next day to visit the city of bassist Ryan Fletcher.

The four-piece band will then travel down to Brighton for a show at the Concorde 2 to visit drummer Adam Pitts' home city before travelling back up the country to Nottingham, where guitarist Joel Peat originally hails from.

Lawson will then wrap up their latest UK tour with a final show at KOKO in London, to celebrate their new home city in the UK capital.

The band scored the highest new entry on the Vodafone Big Top 40 two weekends ago when their latest single 'Taking Over Me' charted at number four.

Lawson spoke out in support of Team GB star Tom Daley last Friday (10th August), ahead of the 18 year-old diving prodigy's bronze medal victory in the men's 10m platform final.

Lawson's 'The Hometowns Tour' full dates are as follows:

  • O2 Academy, Liverpool (31st October)
  • The Leadmill, Sheffield (1st November)
  • Concorde 2, Brighton (2nd November)
  • Rescue Rooms, Nottingham (5th November)
  • KOKO, London (6th November)
