The 'Taking Over Me' stars say singer Andy is often told he looks like the Team GB diving sensation.
Lawson have revealed that people often comment on singer Andy Brown's striking resemblance to British Olympic diver Tom Daley, while wishing the sports star good luck in his upcoming event for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The 'When She Was Mine' four-piece spoke out about the uncanny similarity between the two while taking about Tom's chances of winning a medal at next week's men's 10m platform diving event, and explained that singer Joe McElderry had even commented on it the other day.
"Except [Tom's] a lot sharper, he's a better person and a better singer!" Andy's fellow band member Ryan Fletcher teased, while taking to Capital about Andy's resemblance to the accomplished 18 year-old British diver.
"It was actually Joe McElderry who said I look like him!" Andy revealed. "We bumped into him the other day and he was like, 'You really look like Tom Daley!', not in that accent though."
Lawson bassist Ryan then made light of Andy's attempt to impersonate The X Factor winner Joe McElderry's strong Newcastle accent by adding: "I didn't realise he was Irish!"
Earlier this week the band gave fans the chance to see behind the scenes on the video set of their 'Taking Over Me' shoot, which took place last month in the Los Angeles desert.
Fans of Lawson can now enter a competition to win a pair of tickets to see the band performing a live session at Capital FM headquarters in central London, while one lucky fan will even get the opportunity to interview the boys after their session on 8th August.
