The 'You & I' singer has been named as a potential artist for the iconic novel's new film adaptation.
Lady Gaga is reportedly set to contribute a song towards the soundtrack for next year's The Great Gatsby film adaptation.
The 'Born This Way' singer, alongside 'Purple Rain' star Prince, have been linked to the film's soundtrack ahead of it's release next year, and are said to have pitched to record a song for the upcoming F Scott Fitzgerald adaptation.
"They have some new music that's going to be added to the film," cast member Adelaide Clemens revealed to Indiewire this week. "Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz [Luhrman] and are writing songs for the film.
"I don't think Warner Bros are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door!" she said, before adding: "I don't know if I'm aloud to say that!"
The 'Marry The Night' singer Lady Gaga is currently working on material for her new album 'ARTPOP' and recently revealed she has "albums and albums" of new music waiting for release.
Lady Gaga will resume her 'Born This Way Ball' world your at the end of October with a leg across South America.
The Great Gatsby stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan and is set to launch in cinemas in May 2013.
