The 'Marry The Night' singer says the music magazine's prize made her laugh.
Lady Gaga has hit back at the NME after they dubbed her album 'Born This Way' the "most pretentious album ever".
The 'Bad Romance' star took to her Twitter account last night to offer her thoughts on the prize.
She tweeted: "Oh the irony of winning "Most Pretentious Album Ever" from none other than NME. *eyeroll* I might laugh forever + then return to narcissism."
Her second studio album topped the poll by the music magazine which also featured records by Lou Reed and rock band KISS.
The singer's album was nominated for Album Of The Year at the Grammy Awards 2012 but eventually lost out to Adele's '21'.
The 'Telephone' star admitted that she was pleased for the British star saying she deserved every single award she picked up at the Staples Center earlier this month.
