The singer is longlisted for her 'Gnomeo and Juliet' collaboration with Sir Elton John.

Lady Gaga has reacted to being long-listed for an Oscar at next year's Academy Awards.

The singer's collaboration with Sir Elton John, 'Hello Hello', is one of 39 songs shortlisted for a potential nomination at the ceremony in 2012.

The track appeared in the animation feature 'Gnomeo and Juliet', which was released earlier this year.

Reacting to the nomination on Twitter, Lady Gaga wrote: "Just heard my duet 'Hello, Hello' with Elton [John] is up for nomination at the Oscars! 'Gnomeo & Juliet' is such a beautiful film. I'm so happy!!"

Will.i.am also made the list with 'Hot Wings (I Wanna Party)' taken from the 3D film 'Rio'.

Other notable inclusions in the list are Robbie Williams' duet with American country star Brad Paisley on 'Collision Of Worlds' for the Pixar animation 'Cars 2'.

The 84th Academy Awards take place in Hollywood on the 26th February and the night will be hosted by actor and comedian Billy Crystal.
