The 'You & I' singer's supporters rally to give their idol a chance at the Vodafone Big Top 40 summit.

Lady Gaga's fans yesterday (20th December) launched a campaign to get 'Marry The Night' to the top of the charts for Christmas Day.

At four o'clock in the afternoon, supporters of the singer from around the world downloaded the track in a bid to give it one huge push.

The track peaked at number 17 in the chart earlier this month and 'Born This Way' is the only single from her second studio album to have reached the top spot in the chart this year.

Gaga will have to do battle with the Military Wives Choir who currently sit in first place as well as X Factor winners Little Mix and another campaign aimed to get Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' into the top spot.

Meanwhile, the 'Judas' singer recently thanked her fans following the huge success of her 'Born This Way' album while on a festive break in Tokyo.
