The 'Mr. Know It All' singer is excited to be making her third appearance on the hit US sketch show this evening.

Kelly Clarkson has revealed that she is looking forward to returning to her "family" when she appears on Satruday Night Live this evening (7th January).

The 'My Life Would Suck Without You' star told MTV News that the loves the fact the show always has a friendly atmosphere.

"It's a fun environment. You don't feel like you're working ... This is like a family place. Everybody here is nice to people who aren't famous. You know what I'm saying? They're nice to my makeup artist, my hair guy ... I hate people who are just nice to famous people. It bothers me. I want to kick 'em," she confessed.

It will be the third time the former American Idol singer will be appearing on the show although the star will not be taking part in any of the sketches.

"We're literally flying in and out [of New York]. Charles Barkley's hosting, so he's doing all the skits," she added.

Meanwhile, the singer recently covered The White Stripes song 'Seven Nation Army' at her concert in New Orleans but came under criticism after forgetting the words.
