Katy Perry Receives Huge Cake To Celebrate Her Birthday

Katy Perry has thanked her fans after she was given a birthday cake on stage at a gig in Belfast.

The 'Firework' singer, who turned 27 yesterday (25th October), celebrated her big day with friends while on her UK tour.

In a message on Twitter, she wrote: "My friends are the best present a girl could ever dream of."

At one point "Happy Birthday Katy Perry" was top of the worldwide trending chart on Twitter and she was also given a special surprise at her gig in Northern Ireland on Monday night.

She was serenaded by the 14,000 fans attending at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast with them chanting Happy Birthday during a break in her set.

Dancers also brought out a colourful cake and Katy was nice enough to share some, throwing pieces into the crowd for them to eat.
