The 'Part Of Me' singer hits back at remarks she made in Teen Vogue magazine.
Katy Perry has taken to her Twitter account to say that her comments in the recent edition of Teen Vogue magazine about fame being "disgusting" have been taken out of context.
The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer was quoted as saying she was tired of being famous and fame was a "disgusting by-product" of what she does.
However, speaking on her social networking account today (10th April), she tweeted: "O the joy of something verbally said being taking out of complete context in PRINT. This is why there's a continuous ♥/☹ for the media world."
U see, the fame quote was spoken in jest (which is typical of me) BUT it's not really about that. The fact is: my success, & u my fans have"
"afforded me the most incredible luxury: to grow as an artist & a human. THAT, I could not be more grateful for."
Meanwhile, the American star is set to release her 3D concert movie 'Part Of Me' this summer and recently admitted she took inspiration from Madonna for the film.
