The 'Roar' singer joked that she nearly cried her eyelashes off during the performance.
Katy Perry was reportedly moved to tears after being welcomed to China this week by an orchestral performance of one of her hits.
The 'Unconditionally' singer arrived in Beijing at the weekend and was greeted by a specially arranged performance of her hit 'Roar' by the Chinese National Orchestra.
After watching almost 100 musicians performing her recent hit single, Katy allegedly admitted she welled up because of the gesture.
"I almost cried my eyelashes off!" Katy said in response to the tribute, reports The Mirror via Shanghaiist at the event. "It's very beautiful.
"I've never heard my music being played like that," she added. "It's very spiritual to me."
Katy Perry announced the North American dates for her 'Prismatic World Tour' yesterday evening (15th January).
