Kayne West's mile-high rap

Kayne West has a found a new stage with a captive audience - on board a flight to New York.

Shortly after the flight from Minneapolis took off the rapper decided to liven up things up with an impromptu performance - which you can see below.

West stunned passengers by taking to the aircraft's loudspeakers to perform live versions of two of his hit songs, The Good Life and Gold Digger.

One passenger told Hollywoodlife.com that they were "a little "freaked out" when West's voice started coming out of the overhead speakers.

"I had to pass through first class to get to my seat in economy, and I saw Kanye sitting there with a little drink in his hand," he told the website.

"He couldn't decide if he wanted to do The Good Life or Gold Digger, so he was like, 'I'll just do a little bit of both.'

"It was awesome... but I still have no idea how he got into the cockpit."
