The 'Beauty & A Beat' singer has led fans to believe he has been cast in the next DC Comics epic.
Justin Bieber caused widespread speculation this weekend after seemingly hinted that he may be involved with upcoming Hollywood superhero epic Batman vs. Superman.
The 'Boyfriend' star shared a picture on Instagram of himself holding up a watermarked copy of what looks like a script for the superhero sequel, causing mass hysteria online as fans and non-fans speculated about whether he may have landed a role in the film.
"#Robin??" Justin posted in a later caption alongside the picture, while the post itself has now had over 700,000 shares on Instagram.
Despite a furore over Justin's potential involvement in the new Batman Vs. Superman film, many have pointed to an earlier tweet of his to suggest it is more likely to be a wind-up.

Earlier on Friday (13th September) Justin also posted a tweet hinting that he was about to take part in a Funny Or Die sketch, with fans now suggesting his Batman Vs. Superman picture is likely to be linked to this.
Batman Vs. Superman is currently set of a 2015 release and sees Ben Affleck taking on the role of Batman alongside the returning Henry Cavill as Superman.
Justin Bieber is widely expected to return with new music in October this year.
