The Jamaican star set a new Olympic record at the London 2012 games last night beating Yohan Blake.
The music world has been reacting to the triumph of Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt following his 100m sprint gold medal performance at the London 2012 Olympics last night (5th August).
Stars such as JLS have taken to Twitter to offer their thoughts and praise the athlete after he set a new Olympic record with a time of 9.63 seconds on the track.
Oritse Williams praised the efforts of Usain and silver medalist Yohan Blake.
He wrote: "Usain and Blake absolutely mash it up! "Welcome to Jamrock" hahahah Ori x yeeessssss!!!!!!!!," before adding: "Sooo frillkkiiinnnn happy right now!!!!!!!!!!! Usain "Lightning BOLT" Ori x"
Rapper Example was in attendance for the performance and admitted the experience was unforgettable.
"Damn. Once in a lifetime experience being in the stadium for that race. Wow," he wrote.
The Rizzle Kicks stars were equally taken aback by the race and revealed their difficulty in finding the right words to describe their excitement.
"Finding it hard to express just how much of a boss Usain Bolt actually is," they wrote.
The Jamaican star recently revealed that he held great admiration for Cheryl Cole and Rihanna calling the pair the most "beautiful women" in the world.
