The two singers have both tweeted about getting the chance to perform with stars like Jennifer Hudson at the soul tribute event.
Jessie J and Kelly Clarkson both say they had an "incredible" time performing at the VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul concert in New York City last night (18th December).
The event was staged to pay tribute to the cities that inspired soul, and Jessie says she was thrilled to perform on a stage alongside one-off house band The Roots and 'Spotlight' singer Jennifer Hudson.
"The Roots are INCREDIBLE!!!!" Jessie tweeted after the event. "They just played Domino and my heart literally skipped a beat. This is a moment… #melts.
"Did I really just sing with @IAMJHUD WOW #dreamscometrue," the 'Price Tag' singer later posted, referring to the Dreamgirls star.
Kelly Clarkson was just as complimentary of her fellow acts and described the event as one of her "favourite shows".
"Just finished taping Diva's for VH1 and seriously there are some really talented ladies y'all should tune in tomorrow night to see!" the 'Stronger' singer tweeted. "A special shout out to my duet partners @maryjblige, @iamjhud, and @ledisi!! Ya'll girls can freaking SING!!! I am so lucky to have shared a stage : )"
The tribute concert also featured a performance from the likes of Florence and the Machine who paid tribute to the late Amy Winehouse on a duet with Wanda Jackson.
VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul is due to air on the network at 9pm.
