The 'Price Tag' singer says Adele having to have surgery on her throat must have been the "worst feeling in the world".
Jessie J says she "can't imagine" what Adele has been through not being able to sing since having vocal chord surgery last year.
The 'Someone Like You' singer underwent laser microsurgery in November 2011 to repair damage to her vocal chords, and was unable to sing for several months while she recovered.
"What happened to Adele is one of those things that is awful, and you can't help it," Jessie told Jonathan Ross, during an appearance on his ITV1 show last night (4th February). "It's the worst feeling in the world to know that [you can't sing].
"I've got a cold at the moment and I get so frustrated that I can't sing and talk, it hurts," the 'Who You Are' singer explained. "This is everything for me so I can't imagine what she's gone through."
Jessie also spoke about Adele's huge success over the past twelve months, which includes three nominations at the BRIT Awards 2012 where the 'Rolling In The Deep' singer is due to make her live UK return later this month.
"I'm so happy for her success," Jessie added. "She's had like number ones everywhere."
Jessie J appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show to give a live performance of her recent Vodafone Big Top 40 number one single 'Domino'.
