The former The X Factor singer says she was played tracks during her time in the studio.

Amelia Lily has revealed that she has heard new songs by Girls Aloud.

The former The X Factor contestant is currently preparing to release her debut solo single 'You Bring Me Joy', which was produced by Girls Aloud collaborator Xenomania.

Girls Aloud recently confirmed plans to mark their 10th anniversary, but stopped short of suggesting that they would be releasing new material.

However, Amelia has now admitted that she has heard some of the 'Biology' groups new tracks.

"Yes I have," she said in an interview with Popjustice. "But I'm not telling anyone about them, it's top secret."

Asked if she could rate the songs, Amelia replied: "I'm not saying, sorry."

Girls Aloud, who released their last album 'Out Of Control' in 2008, are planning to mark their 10th anniversary:

Earlier this year, Cheryl Cole told Capital FM that Girls Aloud were set to announce something "very soon" about their reunion.

"We had lots of conversations and we drank lots of cups of tea and we all said we want to do something for our tenth birthday," Cheryl told Capital in May.

Amelia's single 'You Bring Me Joy' is released next month and is the first to be taken from her forthcoming album.
