Example Reveals Ed Sheeran Almost Performed As His Wedding Singer - Video

The rapper says good friend Ed was hoping to sing live at his wedding this summer.

Example has revealed that Ed Sheeran was originally set to perform live at this wedding this year.

The 'Changed The Way You Kiss Me' rapper married supermodel Erin McNaught out in Australia recently, and says Taylor Swift's 'Red' North American tour meant the 'Lego House' singer couldn't make it to his nuptials.

"We didn't have [a wedding singer]," Example told Capital FM's Max over the weekend. "Well, originally Sheeran was going to sing but it was right in the middle of his Taylor Swift American tour.

"He could have made the gig but he would have had to just fly in for like four hours and then leave again," the rapper explained. "So I was like, 'Mate I don't expect you to do that'."

The 'Close Enemies' rapper then opened up about what the actual wedding was like and said his favourite parts of the day were those that went against tradition.

"We didn't have a first dance," he added. "It was the most beautiful, unconventional wedding ever."
