Jonny Brownlee wins bronze in the same event, while Team GB also triumphs in the windsurfing.

Example has paid tribute to Alistair Brownlee after he triumphed in the men's triathlon at the London 2012 Olympic Games today (7th August).

The Team GB star's brother Jonny Brownlee won bronze in the same event as the Olympics continued into an 11th day.

"Brownlee Bros!! Amazing. Gold and Bronze #TeamGB well done lads," Example wrote on Twitter.

Last night, Example joined Team GB gold medalists Jessica Ennis and Bradley Wiggins at The Stone Roses' secret gig in London.

The 'Kickstarts' rapper posed for a picture with Jessica on the red carpet before the heptathlon champion let Example hold her gold medal.

As the Brownlee brothers were winning their medals in the triathlon, another Team GB star Nick Dempsey won silver in the windsurfing.

Britain now has a total of 43 medals, including 19 gold – the same total Team GB reached four years ago in Beijing.

In what now looks set to be another strong day for Team GB, Sir Chris Hoy will be competing in the keirin later, while Victoria Pendleton will go for gold in the individual sprint.
