The 'Clown' singer's mum and dad say their daughter deserves all of her accolades over the past year.
Emeli Sande's parents have praised their daughter for achievements at this year's BRIT Awards 2013, and say the Scottish singer has been so successful because she "never gave up".
The 'Next To Me' singer's parents Diane and Joel were in attendance at London's O2 Arena on Wednesday night (20th February) to watch their daughter pick up awards for both British Female Solo Artist and British Album for her debut record 'Our Version Of Events'.
"Emeli worked so hard at this and she deserves it," Emeli's father Joel told the Scottish Daily Record. "She never gave up and it has paid off.
"Perhaps if she had got this last year it would have been far too early, so it might not have worked out so well for her."

The 'My Kind Of Live' singer's former head teacher also praised the Scottish star for her achievements in the music industry over the past year.
"We are all so proud of her," Moira Milne told the publication. "Everyone is speaking about her performance, she looked and sounded fabulous."
Emeli Sande has said she now plans to lay low for the next six months while starting to write new songs for her second solo album.
