Emeli Sande has been honoured with the James Joyce Award from the University College Dublin in recognition for her outstanding success in music.
The 'Read All About It' singer's prize comes shortly after her triumph at the MOBO Awards 2012, and she took to her Twitter account after receiving the honour to tell fans how overwhelmed she was.
She tweeted: "Just received the James Joyce Award at UCD , a huge huge honour! Thank you to all the students who came down today!"
The Scottish star was presented with the award from officials at the school's Literary and Historical Society yesterday (5th November).
Musicians who have also received the same honour include The Who frontman Roger Daltrey and The Beatles producer George Martin.
Meanwhile, Emeli has also confirmed that she's written a song for Rihanna's new album 'Unapologetic'.
