The 'Lego House' praises his touring partner for having "the most English sense of humour" of any American he knows.

Ed Sheeran says Taylor Swift has a very British sense of humour and has likened her to Ricky Gervais' character from The Office UK.

The 'A Team' singer has been out on the road touring with '22' singer Taylor for much of 2013 so far, and says she is "very dry" with what she finds funny.

"[She has] the most English sense of humour out of any American I've ever met," Ed revealed to E! News, when asked about the 'Begin Again' singer. "She's just dry, she has a very dry sense of humour and American are usually like slapstick comedy.

"That's the big thing, but she's very English," he explained. "She's like The Office, English Office. Not Steve Carell [but] Ricky Gervais."

The 'Lego House' singer also said touring with the US superstar has been "fun" and a "cool year" so far.
