The producer admits his new song almost made it into the hands of the 'Who You Are' singer.
DJ Fresh has revealed that his new song 'Hot Right Now' was initially intended to be offered to Jessie J.
The producer told Daily Star that he was asked to write the track with a team from the 'Domino' singer but was then pushed in the direction of Rita Ora.
He confessed: "I was asked to write a track for her with some of her producers, these guys called The Invisible Men.
"I'd kind of written most of 'Hot Right Now' so they helped me with the verses but I already had the hook and the breakdown vocals."
Speaking of Rita's eventual involvement, he explained that they had to get Jay-Z's seal of approval because she is signed to his Roc Nation label.
"They [The Invisible Men] said 'We know this amazing girl', but Rita was quite locked down with Roc Nation."
"So we sent the track to Jay-Z and he loved it, signed off on it and it was just like a really perfect match. We never actually finished anything for Jessie."
Meanwhile, Jessie recently attended the Grammy Awards 2012 and was full of praise for her good friend Adele following her huge triumph at the Los Angeles event.
