The Capital Late Show With Marvin Humes 10pm - 1am
Amanda, T-Ray, Barry and Jamar dropped into Capital HQ for an exclusive acoustic session in which they sang debut 'Lick Ya Down' and covered Bruno Mars and Loick Essien.
Cover Drive popped into Capital and performed an exclusive acoustic session for Capitalfm.com.
Amanda, T-Ray, Jamal and Barry performed their debut single, 'Lick Ya Down', which is Bajan slang for 'knock you down'.
The four-piece band from Barbados also performed another forthcoming track, 'Twilight'.
Amanda led the vocals on several covers, including an exclusive acoustic version of Loick Essien's 'How We Roll'.
Cover Drive have previously covered tracks by artists including Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Example, Jessie J and Katy Perry.
In an interview with James Barr for Capitalfm.com, Cover Drive's Amanda revealed that the ex she sings about in 'Lick Ya Down' is make-believe and not based on a real life boyfriend.
The band also revealed the inspiration behind their track 'Twilight', which is about friends becoming lovers. Amanda saw the headline 'Twilight Zone' (meaning the time between day and night) in a magazine headline, and it reminded her about changing relationships.
Cover Drive also performed an acoustic version of Bruno Mars' 'The Lazy Song' which was chosen by Capitalfm.com visitors as the track they most wanted Amanda, Jamal, Barry and T-Ray to perform.
Cover Drive told Capitalfm.com that they loved supporting Rihanna on her 'Loud' tour in Barbados, though admitted being completely starstruck by her beauty when they met her after the concert.
Amanda told Capitalfm.com that the only drawback to being in a band with three guys is that she never gets hit on and fears she'll become an old spinster. We think not love!
The orange shoes worn here by Amanda were the first items she bought in Britain. And we can confirm that - miraculously - she can actually walk in them.
