Capital Breakfast With Roman Kemp 6am - 10am
As Chris finally announces the new release date for his new album, we are taking a look at everything we know about one of the most eagerly anticipated records of the year.
It might have been released back in March 2013 but it still sounds as funky today as ever. As soon as the bass hits and Chris lets out those sighs you're hooked.
Talk about an all-star team ups. Chris loves a collaboration or two and never lets us down. But who else could be on there?
They recorded a new song together when they were back dating but then rumours circulated he was dropping the track from the album. We guess only time will tell, but after 'Nobody's Business' - the world is ready for more.
They've been in the studio, we know they had tremendous fun and recorded some tracks. J-Lo has spoken so highly of her time with Chris so we reckon it's time they shared their musical partnership with the world.
"It's the Roman numeral for 10. 5/5/89 is my birthday: 5 plus 5 is 10, and this is my tenth year since I got into music. 'X' is the 24th letter in the alphabet, and I will turn 24 when this album comes out. 'X' is also a metaphor, as in 'ex-girlfriend': it implies you're progressing and moving on in life, not holding on to the past and your old ways." Those were Chris words when asked the question. Although his new May 5th release date means he'll turn 25 when it's out. We'll let him off though.
He's previously explained that the Euro beats of tracks such as 'Yeah 3X' have been dropped and he's opting for his former R&B sound with plenty of soul.
Chris has said he channelled all these artists in the making of the record and pays homage to them.
Due to the delay and having so much material, Chris has teased the potential for a double-disc LP with at least ten tracks on each side.
If that isn't enough to get you hot under the collar than what is?
See, he even tweeted it so it must be true!
We know how much he loves his art and his graffiti skills are up there with the best, so if we don't get some wicked images in the booklet - we shall be shaking our fists Mr. Brown.
As much as it pains us to say, he has previously hinted at retirement plans and told the press that they needn't worry about looking at him because he was gonna hang up the mic after this album. However, he's also said he'd love to do a country album so who knows?
